Circus Advocacy & Sector Development

I am actively engaged in circus advocacy and circus sector development in Australia, contributing to national and NT‑based conversations about access, safety, professional pathways, and the role of circus within community and cultural contexts.

I serve on the NICA Advisory Group and as a Circus and Physical Theatre Advisor with Theatre Network Australia, supporting sector initiatives that strengthen capability, integrity, and sustainable practice across the country.

This work draws on long‑term practical experience and research, including my Churchill Fellowship, and reflects a commitment to a circus sector that is inclusive, culturally responsive, and future‑focused.

As an arts sector advisor in the NT, my advocacy centres on strengthening systems that support ethical practice, sustainable delivery, and recognition of circus as a vital form of community‑based arts practice.
