OH&S
Circus Rigging Specialist and Advanced Rigger (NT)
Since my training at Zippos Circus in 1991 I have honed my rigging expertise over the last 30 years. Working across multiple platforms I have undertaken specialist training with rigging heavyweights across the industry. I specialise in site specific work, accessing new spaces to make it easy for you to imagine the unusual in your space

Production management and coordination
Production
With more than three decades across hundreds of productions, I bring a practitioner‑led understanding of how the circus and live performance sectors operate — from the ground up and across diverse contexts. My experience spans site management, stage management, tour coordination, and multi‑team festival operations, giving me a comprehensive view of how creative, technical, and logistical systems intersect.
My background includes everything from intimate site‑specific works to large‑scale festivals, including co‑managing the circus tent at Glastonbury in earlier years. Most recently, I contributed to Seabreeze Festival 2024 as Assistant Logistics Manager and Site Manager for the Dance and Slab stages.
This breadth of experience allows me to advise on industry challenges such as workforce capability, safety systems, production planning, community‑led delivery models, and the realities of delivering work in regional and cross‑cultural settings.
Rigging
I specialise in circus and event rigging, with long‑standing experience across Darwin’s major venues and regional festivals. My rigging work includes projects with:
• Darwin Entertainment Centre (DEC)
• Darwin Convention Centre (DCC)
• Brown’s Mart
• Caribou Collective
• WA Circus Festival, Karridale
As the in‑house rigger during my tenure leading the Circus Program at Corrugated Iron Youth Arts, I support training, performance, and community projects with a strong focus on safety, cultural responsiveness, and practical, context‑specific solutions.
This hands‑on rigging and technical background informs my advisory work on:
• Safe and culturally responsive circus training environments
• Risk management and production planning
• Technical systems for youth, community, and festival contexts
• Practitioner‑led approaches to sector development
